GRETCHEN M. SCHMETTER

Prior to the founding of Schmetter & Associates, Ms. Schmetter was a principal / officer and co-founder of Alpine Partners, Inc. (Denver, Colorado) from 1990-1999, a third party marketing firm for investment managers. Gretchen was the Director of Domestic and International Research for Vogelzang & Associates (Denver, Colorado) from 1987 - 1990, a third party sales and marketing firm representing style diversified investment managers.

Over the past 31 years in the industry, Ms. Schmetter was involved in the marketing efforts of over 25 domestic and international investment firms to the U.S. institutional marketplace and helped to close in excess of $4 billion in new client assets for these investment firms. Responsibilities included completing approximately 9,000 consultant questionnaires / RFPs, designing over 20 manager presentation brochures, working with AIMR performance verification and compliance standards and contacting plan sponsors, consultants, and investment firms.

Prior to the official founding of Schmetter & Associates, Randy provided questionnaire administration services to a small-cap and mid-cap growth investment firm (1998 - 1999). During this same time, Randy also provided accounting consulting services to several local small businesses. Randy was the Corporate Controller for the Distribution Division of American Parts System, Inc. (APS) for thirteen years (1985 - 1997). APS, Inc. operated Big-A Auto Parts, the second largest automotive aftermarket parts distribution system in the United States. During his tenure as Controller, Randy also served APS, Inc. as Manager of Corporate Financial Systems where innovative systems and procedures were developed to analyze vast amounts of financial data into relevant business statistics.
